Decorating Tips and Ideas for Your Home:
Seed Berry Garland & Ivy Swags

Greetings to all of you!!

For this month's decorating tip I have chosen to Decorate a wrought Iron Basket with Seed Berry Garland and an Ivy Swag.

You will need the following:

  •  Wrought Iron Basket or a metal basket that has holes along the sides.
  • Seed Berry Garland- 2 feet in length at least. (you can purchase this in several feet- usually 4.5 ")
The Seed Berry Garland I am using has colored Berries of Reds, Oranges, yellows and granny smith apple green - but you may use whatever color you like.
  •  an Ivy Swag- Fluffed

Now that you have your three items collected, you will need to fluff your garland and your ivy swag before you place them in your basket. Once you have your Garland fluffed, and I should explain that if you don't know how to fluff garland, you pull the strands up and out. The same goes with the Ivy.

Place the Seed Berry Garland in the bottom of the basket, spreading the strands out.

Place the Ivy Swag on top of the Seed Berry Garland.

Pull the Seed Berry Garland through the Ivy swag and through the holes in the sides of the basket.

Arrange your Ivy in the basket as you wish. This adds a beautiful Fall Look for your home and this distributes the berry garland through out the basket so it has a nice full look.

Place your basket on your kitchen window sill or on an end table or perhaps on a coffee table or on your bathroom vanity. You can also use this as a gift item for a friend or family member by placing some Items of bottles of Lotions, Bath gels, and Body sprays in the basket.

Either way this will be a wonderful Fall Look for your home. I hope you have enjoyed this month's decorating tip and next months tip will be on decorating a window using wicker baskets, a sheet and tie swags.

As always I look forward to hearing from any of you who have creative Ideas and decorating tips of your own and any suggestions of your own.

God Bless all & have a great Day!!
